AE Chauffeurs has a fantastic history in the Farnborough region for offering an executive chauffeur service for our clients. Farnborough itself has a rich history in aviation with the very first powered flight in 1908 by Samuel Cody having taken off from here. It was also home to the historic Royal Aircraft Establishment where Sir Frank Whittle conducted much of his research into jet aircraft.
Our VIP chauffeurs, for years, have driven our clients to the world-famous Farnborough International Airshow, which has been held at the airfield at Farnborough since 1948 and over the decades has showcased many pioneering triumphs in aerospace, with many people visiting the area for this well-known event and its outstanding Farnborough Aerodrome. With more than 1500 exhibitors, 100,000sqm of exhibition space, a static aircraft and flying display, and up to 100,000 visitors, organising the Farnborough International Airshow is no mean feat, but somehow, they do it every single year.
Farnborough Abbey is where Napoleon III and his wife are buried and is a large visitor site for tourists. The monks live a simple Benedictine life. They earn their living through printing, publishing, bookbinding, and the Abbey Shop is an important part of the monastery’s income and is open to visitors.
Work is underway in Farnborough to construct a new retail area with an entertainment complex. AE Chauffeurs can offer an executive chauffeur servicer to transport our corporate clients to the new shopping district, where several new blocks of flats have also been built adjacent to the town centre. Following a public consultation during the winter 2011–12, outlining extensive redevelopment plans for the whole centre, including the building of a new cinema, a significant expansion of the available retail space, a new look for Queensmead shopping street.
Our VIP Chauffeurs are able to take you through to the best sport spots, as the area is also well known for its sport, with the Farnborough football team based here, as well as the local rugby and cricket club. They’re also known for their hockey, motorsports and interestingly enough, basketball. Why not use our executive chauffeur service to visit the Aldershot Military Museum, which tells the story of daily life for both soldier and civilian in the town since 1854. There is also the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC) Museum and tells the story of the RAPTC from 1860 to today.
